Heather Jackson.

I am an ice hockey player-turned-professional-triathlete from Exeter, New Hampshire. I currently live in Carlsbad, California to train but will never lose my "Live Free or Die" roots. 2012 will be my 3rd full season as a professional triathlete and my focus is the 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas on September 9, 2012. You can keep up to date on my training, racing, and results on this website, as well as check out my amazing sponsors (along the left side) that make this journey possible for me.

My Temporary Website!!!!

Please be patient with me....we have a whole new website in the works that will be launched in the next week or so!!!!

For the time being, I needed to pull down my old sponsors and get going with my fresh new start of the 2012 season with my two new primary sponsors: Zoot and Cannondale!!!! I am so excited to have partnered with both companies and see a long-term relationship with both in my profession as a triathlete. The people and products at both companies are amazing and I am so excited for this upcoming season! A huge thanks again to both!

Just quickly, Wattie and I went home to NH for about 2 weeks over the holidays, where we were able to spend time w/ my family (including Mr. Black!), and get a good running block in throughout the streets of Exeter. Despite temps down in the teens, no white Christmas!!!! Oh well. It was great to see the family and I'm excited to see my parents again in approximately 12 weeks for the first 70.3 of the year: Oceanside! As it was last year, this is one of my biggest A races. It is my favorite 70.3 out there, Wattie and I used to live right on the run course, we train on the course all the time, I will have tons of friends from here on the course, a number of my sponsors like ZOOT are from right here and will be there.....on and on and on.... I can list my motivation to do the very best I can at that one:) Oh yes, and because I was SOOOOOO close last year! Prior, I'm running the Carlsbad Half Marathon in two weekends, as well as the Coronado 10K on Feb. 12th. If you are in this area, you should definitely check out both of those races as good prep for O-Side.

Okay, again, please bear with me on the site! It's coming:) I thought things calmed down after the holidays....it's been quite the opposite here at the Wattie/HJ headquarters. Sorry this one was quick, but back to emails, helping Wattie with some of the new Elite Wattie Ink. Team business (which is Off the Hook!), getting dinner ready, starting to think about tax forms (ugh! but yes, I'm on top of it instead of waiting until April! haha), training, sleeping, etc. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and has had a great 2012 thus far! Races are starting soon and I know I can't wait!
Cheers,
HJ
